Update (16 March):

If you would like to be part
of the WhatsApp group regarding local help for Ukrainians, please email us here.

We will be collecting items at church which will be taken to the warehouse in Niederrad (Hahnstr. 8, Niederrad 60528). The warehouse is very well organised by responsible people and any person with a Ukrainian passport has access to the warehouse. People hosting refugees will also be able to get necessary items for the families they support from there.

Currently, the greatest need is clothing for teenagers and adults (please also consider clothing for men since in general the Ukrainian youth seem to be larger than German youth). If you have any good quality items to donate, please place items in the labelled baskets under the foyer by the stairs.

Please consider donating colouring pencils, colouring books and long-life milk. Also of great need are bicycles, scooters, skates, badminton rackets, footballs, outdoor/indoor games/toys for children.

If anyone lives near Niederrad and has a car, please consider being part of the team to transport donated items from church. Please write here.

Local support in Oberursel

Next Wednesday evening, 17 March, Pastor Carsten will be going to a special meeting called by the city of Oberursel, which is setting up a network of volunteers to support local refugees as they arrive. Out of this meeting will come some opportunities for ICF to practically serve as needs arise in the coming weeks.

We would like to establish a small team of people to help mobilize and coordinate ICF’s response efforts. If you would like to be on this team contact Pastor Carsten with this contact form.
